The​ ​cover​ ​of​ ​the​ ​booklet​ ​is​ ​made​ ​of​ ​cardboard.
The​ ​cardboard​ ​is​ ​pasted​ ​with​ ​hand-made​ ​or​ ​hand-painted​ ​paper​ ​and​ ​sometimes​ ​with​ ​pressed​ ​flowers​ ​from​ ​our​ ​own​ ​garden.​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​
For​ ​reinforcement​ ​and​ ​durability,​ ​the​ ​outside​ ​of​ ​the​ ​booklet​ ​is​ ​treated​ ​with​ ​a​ ​coating​ ​and​ ​a​ ​transparent​ ​varnish​ ​(environmentally​ ​friendly).

The​ ​pages​ ​inside​ ​the​ ​booklet​ ​are​ ​held​ ​together​ ​by​ ​an​ ​elastic​ ​coed,​ ​with​ ​wooden​ ​beads​ ​at​ ​the​ ​end.
The​ ​elastic​ ​can​ ​be​ ​removed,​ ​allowing​ ​the​ ​pages​ ​to​ ​be​ ​taken​ ​out​ ​and​ ​the​ ​booklet​ ​to​ ​be​ ​filled​ ​with​ ​new​ ​pages.
By​ ​means​ ​of​ ​a​ ​wooden​ ​button​ ​and​ ​a​ ​cord,​ ​the​ ​booklet​ ​can​ ​be​ ​closed.​ ​
